The Brenda Dress - Send me your own Fabric!

Do you have some fabric that you would love to have made into a dress? Perhaps it has special meaning, or you need something that matches an certain occasion? Well, now you have the option to send me your fabric to turn it into a bespoke Brenda Dress!

How it works: For a full length dress you would ideally need 3 meters of a 150cm wide fabric which, once ordered, you would send to me (I would recommend a tracked service) so that I can create your dress. Don't quite have that amount, or unsure? Drop me a message and we can discuss what we can do with the length you have. Once I have received your fabric and confirmed style/measurements I will get to work creating your custom piece!

Dress Details: The Brenda dress is completely made to your own measurements - it starts with your bust measurement, and you can decide how long you would like the dress, as well as the length of the sleeves (unless choosing tie straps), meaning it is completely unique to you! The sleeves are set into the bodice and elasticated on the top of the shoulders and shirred at the cuffs. For extra comfort you have the option to also add a tie on the back between the shoulders (just to ensure those sleeves stay put!)

The dress has a shirred panel around the entire dress measuring approx 24cm down from the top of the dress to waistline, in order to add some shape before flowing out.  

If you haven't come across shirring before, it's a great technique for creating a super comfortable garment using elastic thread to create a stretchy panel on the fabric. This means it moves with you, and can stretch as you need.

As these are made to order, please see the size guide for measurements and how to actually measure yourself to ensure the best fit for you, and minimise wasteful orders. Also note that these measurements are approximates, and some slight variations could be expected.
