I started the brand as I was constantly praised for my sewing choices when it came to pattern and fabric pairings, and asked to create similar outfits for friends, then friends of friends…. And so Love Ginger was born. My vision is to create beautiful garments and accessories that tailor various budgets and sizes, that can be dressed up or down, thus being timeless pieces. I want to encourage people to think about the story behind their garments, working towards reducing the ‘fast-fashion’ model by creating a more conscious and sustainable way to order clothing. 

Each piece is made to order, which allows me to reduce fabric waste as well as tailor any customisations. As a curvier figure myself, I learnt to sew as a way to make garments fit me rather than the damaging fashion standard of trying to make us fit the clothes. Unlocking this skill meant I could create unique garments that fit my shape and showed off my love of print and pattern. I want to pass this on to you, so that you can also feel amazing and comfortable in the garments I make for you.

The true making process is a long one, especially when creating a new design.
This includes:

• Sourcing fabrics, looking for prints and colours that can be worn with lots of outfit styles in mind, and particularly with good credentials, such as deadstock.
• Designing the garments, which includes lots of mock ups, testing and fitting!
• When ordered, each piece needs the fabric cut, sewn up (which can take up to a day) labelled and steamed.
• Once finished and checked for quality, the products are then packaged and posted out to you!
